Hiteshbhai Thummar brings 30 years of farming expertise to this programme, and a track record of taking on the conditions most growers would call impossible.
In Kutch there is no soil at all — only salt beneath the earth — and he has farmed it successfully. He has achieved record-breaking results in the deserts, grown in the shade beneath solar panels across two acres, and worked across sloping lands and stony terrain, as well as on terraces and balconies.
Every one of those results was achieved without a single harmful chemical. Where most people feel farming simply cannot be done, Hiteshbhai has demonstrated that natural farming is possible.
Even where there is no soil, he has grown a harvest.

Is this only for large farms?
No. The course is for farmers as well as terrace and urban gardeners, with content that connects field soil to smaller growing systems.
Do I need technical farming experience?
No prior technical experience is required. The three-day format is designed to build your foundation step by step.
Is the course practical?
Yes. Topics include soil management, water conservation, mulching, pruning, composting, pest management and crop rotation.
