Narmada Parikrama:
A Turning Point with Divine Experiences
Our beloved Manjushree Didi undertook one of the most profound spiritual journeys known in India – the Narmada Parikrama. Alone, without carrying a single rupee, she set out to walk the sacred path that circles the holy river Narmada in a clockwise direction – a distance of nearly 4000 kilometers, passing through dense jungles, remote villages, and unknown paths.
“When you walk in surrender, the river itself carries you forward.”
This was not just a physical journey, but a pilgrimage of the soul. Along the way, she encountered sadhus, yogis, and seekers from many traditions. At dozens of places, she was lovingly invited to stay back, take care of ashrams, and serve the spiritual community after completing her Parikrama. The journey itself became her teacher, unfolding mysteries, and presenting her with magical experiences that left a lasting imprint on her heart.
“The Narmada does not test you; she embraces you.”
Didi often shares that before setting out, she was still bound by self-centeredness. But on this journey, everything changed. Without asking, without seeking, she was showered with love, food, shelter, respect, and care at every step. Strangers became family, and the river seemed to whisper, “Have faith, everything will be given.”
“On the Parikrama, I received everything without asking – love, food, shelter, and respect.”
The realization that God provides when we surrender completely deepened her faith beyond measure.
Having received so much on the Parikrama – love, abundance, and spiritual strength – she returned transformed. Her heart naturally overflowed with gratitude, and she began to give back to the world what she had once received – love, guidance, compassion, and service.
“When the heart is full of gratitude, giving back becomes effortless.”
The Narmada Parikrama was not merely a journey of the body, but a rebirth of the soul. It continues to inspire all who hear her story – a reminder that when we walk with faith, the universe itself provides.
✨ Below are glimpses of her Parikrama – photographs and some of the magical incidents that shaped her path forever.
“May her journey inspire you to walk your own path of surrender and faith”

Uttarvahini Narmada Parikrama
Although Narmada river flows from east to west but from Rampura to Tilakwada Narmada rivers runs turns towards North — hence the journey is being named as Uttarvahini Narmada Parikrama. The trip starts from Rampura village. As said by holy saints the parikrama ( 21km walk) of 'Uttarvahi Narmada' during 'Chaitra' month (March- April) is of divine and religious importance that equals the complete parikrama of the River Narmada.
