Flowing Ganga – The Stream of Life* (Energy – The Flow of Life)

🌊*

In yesterday’s article “Why worry about tomorrow?” we saw how excessive fear of the future takes away the joy of the present moment. The same thing is happening everywhere today. Life looks perfect from the outside—home, job, money, smartphones, comfort—yet the mind remains disturbed. Anxiety keeps flowing inside, even when nothing seems wrong.

This inner restlessness is known in medical science as neurosis.

And this hidden uneasiness has become the root cause of most modern-day physical and mental disorders.

*What is Neurosis?*

A constant storm within the mind—

Unending worry, uncontrolled thoughts, emotional instability, loss of appetite, disturbed sleep, lack of enthusiasm, and disruption in the body’s natural functions. Physically, one appears fine… but emotionally shaken. The mind carries a burden that refuses to settle. Every thought pulls, every emotion remains stuck.

This is neurosis—

the mind trapped inside itself.

*Why is Neurosis rising today?*

In earlier times, humans had to do a lot of physical labor to survive.

The stress stored in the body naturally dissolved through sweat.

When the body got tired, the mind found rest automatically.

Today, the situation is exactly the opposite.

Physical activity has drastically reduced.

We hardly move anymore.

The body is still…

but the mind is overloaded.

The brain works constantly.

The head is exhausted, but the body isn’t.

A tired mind in a fresh body can never sleep well.

The natural flow of life collapses.

The direction of life becomes blurred.

*Do we work for the stomach? Or does the stomach exist for work?*

Sadhguru Wamanrao Pai beautifully says:

*God gave us a stomach so that we work.*

*But man says—he must work because of his stomach!*

One line — but the essence of life lies within it.

The stomach is not a burden.

It is the force that keeps us moving.

Hunger ensures motion.

Motion ensures health.

Health brings peace.

Today, we run for the sake of the stomach…

but the body does not run.

Only the mind does—

and it collapses under its own load.

Work is not just a means of livelihood.

Work is the art of staying in flow.

⚡ *Energy Science – The True Body–Mind Reality*

Everything in this universe is energy—

our body, breath, emotions, and thoughts.

The fundamental nature of energy is to flow.

Where energy flows — life thrives.

When energy stops — pressure builds.

When pressure builds — suffering begins.

We suppress emotions, avoid tears, hide pain… and avoid movement.

So energy gets stuck and becomes devastation within —

anger, panic, fear, anxiety, and ultimately neurosis.

Just like the river Ganga —

the moment her flow is blocked, impurity arises.

Energy blocked → Mind sick

Energy flowing → Life blossoming

🪔

*According to Indian Wisdom – Energy is Lakshmi*

Indian culture says —

Lakshmi is always in motion.

If she keeps flowing → prosperity

If she stops → downfall

The same applies to body and mind.

Blocked energy creates stress.

Free energy creates joy.

What is Diwali’s Lakshmi Pujan?

A beautiful prayer:

“May energy always flow through our lives.”

*Why has the flow stopped in modern times?*

Earlier, life was filled with movement —

walking, farming, growing together with nature, building relationships.

The body tired and the mind calmed.

Now, life is restricted to screens.

There is no real movement.

There is an overload of information, comparison, competition.

Work has not reduced,

its nature has changed.

The flow changed → the mind got disturbed.

Stress in the mind is now sinking into the body…

causing heart disease, blood pressure, diabetes, digestive issues, hormonal imbalance.

Medical science acknowledges that 80% of diseases start in the mind.

And to care for the mind —

we must move the body.

🌈

*So what’s the solution? — Restart the Flow*

The solution is simple,

Do not block energy.

Let it flow.

Move the body.

Breathe consciously.

Express emotions.

Connect with people.

Walk with nature.

Give the body its rightful share of daily work.

When the body flows, the mind rests.

When the breath flows, the soul shines.

Some time reserved for oneself every day,

that becomes home for inner peace.

*Sadhguru Wamanrao Pai’s Life-Vidya — The Four Principles of Inner Flow*

To ensure free flow of energy in thoughts, emotions, relationships, and consciousness —

Sadhguru gives four powerful yet graceful ways:

* *Shubh Chintan*— Give your thoughts a bright direction

* *Gratitude*—

Find completeness in what you already have

* *Bhala Kar Sadhana*

Giving is the highest form of gaining

* *Vishwa-Prarthana*— Expanding from “Me” to “We”

These principles keep every stream in life flowing—

No stagnation. No heaviness.

Only light within.

🌊

*The Eternal Message of Flowing Ganga*

The Ganga never stops — that is why she remains pure.

We stop — that is why we suffer.

The law of life is simple ,

Movement is life.

Stillness is decay.

Let emotions flow,

Move the body,

Open the mind —

Let life become sacred again.

Let it breathe.

Let it expand.

Let it blossom.

Where energy flows — Lakshmi stays.

Where energy is blocked — stress rises.

When the body moves — the mind becomes light.

When the mind is light — life blossoms.

✨ Flow… and let life flow through you. ✨
