Surrender to Supreme power !

तमेव शरणं गच्छ सर्वभावेन भारत |

तत्प्रसादात्परां शान्तिं स्थानं प्राप्स्यसि शाश्वतम् || Bhagavad Gita 18.62 ||

Vijaya & I were going to Vadodara via bus to attend a residential course on Ayurveda . It was mentioned that the first session of the course would be very important thus should not be missed. We both were very keen and interested to attend the first session which was supposed to start at 8 am on Friday. The bus was supposed to start at 10 pm from Nashik and reached Vadodara by 6:30 am. However the bus started 2 hour late from Nashik only. Due to traffic, the bad road and bad weather conditions, the bus kept delaying. The delay was already of 5 hours and we had still not reached.

Vijaya had attended our '21 days holistic life' program. She was very sincere & disciplined. She had an intense desire of learning which she applied as well.

She was continuously watching the google map and keeping the track of the time to reach Vadodara. She also communicated to the organizers about the reason of delay and kept updating our situation. She was getting bit impatient and fretting about the delay. Whereas, on the other hand, I didn’t think anything about the program or the delay. Not once did I enquire about the time or see the google map. When Vijaya informed me several times about the delay, I just nodded and said “ok”. Seeing me so relaxed she got little uncomfortable. I was busy in doing my work on mobile. She felt that i was not much interested in the journey or reaching the workshop on time, she again got a little irritated and she had more questions on her mind.

When Vijaya joined for the ’21 days Holistic Life’ program, Vijaya always had lot of questions in the beginning of the program. As she was very sincere, regular and wanting to help others, I loved to answer all her queries. This also encouraged her to ask more questions.

So now in the bus journey, Vijaya also was in dilemma. She asked me, “There is a situation that 2 people are travelling in the bus and the bus is getting delayed. They both are travelling together to go to the same place where they are supposed to reach on time. Due to the bus delay, they are not able to reach there on time. One person is actively getting involved in the process to communicate with the organizers as they were supposed to reach on time, while the other person is just sitting idle and not doing anything. So which is the better situation? I understood she was referring to our current situation so I answered, “God has sent you for this travel to take care of me so I don’t need to do anything.” Vijaya was speechless and didn’t ask any further questions after that.

Bhagavan Shri Krishna says in Bhagavad Gita chapter 18 verse 62,

तमेव शरणं गच्छ सर्वभावेन भारत |

तत्प्रसादात्परां शान्तिं स्थानं प्राप्स्यसि शाश्वतम् ||

Meaning: Surrender exclusively unto Him with your whole being, O Bharat. By His grace, you will attain perfect peace and the eternal abode.

When we develop trust and faith in God, surrender to God and believe that God will take care of us, then He really does ! Earlier, I didn’t believe this as I was Nastik (Non-believer in God). Whenever I heard anyone said about God related stuffs, my intellectual mind always came in between and said “How people can be so foolish and naive to believe in God in today’s scientific era !? “ But then having the experiences in life , I became Astik (Believer in God). We will have more details on the experiences which transformed me from Nastik to Astik in upcoming blogs.
