Happy Chaitra Navratri
In the house, a moving and talking Lakshmi fills water,
As Annapurna, she prepares food,
As Grihalakshmi, she takes care of the family,
As Saraswati, she educates the children,
As Durga, she faces difficulties,
As Chandi, protects the house.
Even though one may not recognize this,
Even though one may not worship her,
But, it is necessary to respect her,
Not only in the temple, but also in your heart.
Respect the living devi,
That is the essence of Navratri festival.
Atharva Veda, Book 14, Hymn 1, Verse 28:
यत्र नार्यस्तु पूज्यन्ते रमन्ते तत्र देवता:
yatra nāryastu pūjyante ramante tatra devatāḥ
Meaning: "Where women are revered, there the gods rejoice."
This verse highlights the importance of respecting and honoring women in society, as it is believed that the presence of divinity is felt in places where women are treated with dignity and respect.
